The 2nd Resource in my Explorers and Navigators resources for KS1/2. I have written the story ofCaptain James Cook in a child friendly vocabulary, outlining his life, his travel to Tahiti and then his discovery of Australia. I have included a PDF file which can be printed as individual workbooks and a powerpoint presentation for discussion about the topic.There are comprehension questions, writing activities, some grammar, a ship's log entry and a story planning sheet. I have also included some word maps which could be printed out for teacher display boards.

This 34 page resource is for KS2 and consists of a PDF file and Powerpoint presentation. The slides may be printed out as individual worksheets for differentation or as a complete workbook for each child. They can be used after the novel has been completed or while the children are reading it. Guided reading sessions would be a great time to use the worksheets either individualy or with groups of children. Writing, drawing research activities are included. This is a PDF file for KS1. It consists of my own original poems, a rhyming verse and an old ballad connected to Summer. The poetry is based on the seaside,sand, gardens, forests, birds and flowers in the summer. This is an original poem written by me about a seaside town in Victorian times compared with the town today. It has previously been published as a stand alone poem but not with worksheets included. the worksheets involve comprehension, Spag,internet research, historical facts and drawing conclusions. it is suitable for KS2 or upper KS1.The worksheets allow for differentation or can be printed out as an entire workbook. This resource would link well with a Victorian topic.
